Vending and Affixing Machine Perforations substantial balance of collection, actually maybe better characterized as a stock, since duplication is considerable, with often two, three, four or more of each present in mint pairs and line or
paste-up pairs, plus there are larger multiples in abundance, including line or paste-up strips of four and a few blocks, plus there are many items showing part imprints, plate numbers and sheet selvages, in addition there are some used singles,
scarce used pairs and some larger used multiples, among the numerous highlights are (mint pairs unless noted): Brinkerhoff Ty. I #314, 320, 320 line pair, 320a, 320a line pair, 344 line pair, 345 and 368, Brinkerhoff Ty. II #314 (2), 320 (2), 320a,

roulettes, including Kansas City and Wilson, the overall quality is well above the norm, there are some with small faults and inevitably there will be some fakes, the vast majority, however, are nice fine to extremely fine, o.g. or l.h. items, and a
surprising number are n.h.; this lot is simply loaded with $50 to $400 or so catalog value items and is ideal for the retail dealer in this area or for those who wish to start, viewing is an absolute pleasure.

Vending and Affixing Machine Perforations fakes and forgeries invaluable reference collection formed by Dr. Agris in his over 25 years of collecting and researching private vending machine coils, he encountered what all serious collectors of
these scarce items are faced with - the presence of numerous fakes and forgeries in the marketplace, Dr. Agris was extremely careful in his attempt to acquire only genuine items for his collection, however he occasionally purchased items at retail
and in auctions which turned out to be fakes after submitting them to the various expertizing committees, he decided that it would not only be in his best interest, but in the best interest of philately as well, to attempt to remove these fakes from
circulation and incorporate them into what has become one of the most extensive fakes and forgeries collection of its kind; Dr. Agris made arrangements with nearly every dealer he purchased from that he would pay a set amount for each fake which came
back with a certificate which was "not genuine", he accumulated each of these forgeries and studied them, as they represent an invaluable research tool in learning to discern genuine items from fake items; we are pleased to offer this important
research collection which will prove to be just as valuable to the new buyer as it was to Dr. Agris and the seller of the collection offered here, consisting of 139 items, the vast majority of which are pairs or line pairs (although there are a few
multiples and covers), and most of these have been mounted on 34 exhibition pages, each of the mounted items has been identified as to what characteristics make the item not genuine and pointing out these features, the accompanying certificates are
placed behind each exhibition page, some of the items have yet to be mounted, virtually every different vending company is represented, with a strong group of Farwells due to their history of being extensively faked; a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity
for the serious student of this fascinating area; ex-Agris.
