2d. pale blue (Plate I, worn), a block of four with large part original gum, pin-pricked with tiny black marks, just clear to very large margins all round and
showing trace of one adjoining stamp at foot; the upper pair with a horizontal crease and the upper right stamp with brown mark apparent on face due to an over-zealous application of gum at one point. A very rare and pleasing block with only one
other such block recorded, which once adjoined this at foot and was offered in the first Joseph Hackmey auction as lot 1317. Sc. 28; S.G. 98, £5,200+. 
1/- green, unused with large part original gum, good to large margins, fresh color and a most attractive example of this scarce stamp. B.P.A. Certificate (1991). Sc. 30; S.G. 100, £1,500.

1d. carmine-vermilion, a horizontal strip of four with clear to very large margins vertically and at foot, touched or a little cut-into at top, cancelled "1"
at Auckland; scissor-cut between the 3rd. and 4th. stamps, and the right-hand stamp with a corner crease, nevertheless a very rare used multiple. Sc. 27; S.G. 97, £1,400+. 
1d. carmine-vermilion, large to very large margins and showing traces of two adjoining stamps, light widely spaced bars cancellation; very fine. Holcombe Opinion (1991). Sc. 27; S.G. 97, £350.
1/- green, a block of six (3x2) with clear to large margins nearly all round and with marginal line watermark at left, cancelled with four impressions of the
Dunedin "OTAGO" duplex for 18 September 1865. A very rare and impressive multiple. Sc. 30; S.G. 100, £1,625.
1/- green, a horizontal strip of three with just clear to very large margins all round, twice cancelled with portions of the Wellington "070" duplex; a scarce and attractive multiple. Sc. 30; S.G. 100,

1864 (22 Sept.) blue envelope from Whitiangi (manuscript note on reverse), bearing 1/- green (margins in places) cancelled with three manuscript lines and tied by
indistinct numeral obliterator, showing large manuscript "5", Auckland c.d.s. (23.9), London Paid c.d.s. (22.12) and h.s. "1d", the reverse with indistinct arrival c.d.s. (6.1); the envelope with tear at top and partially rebacked internally though
not unattractive and a rare destination. R.P.S. Certificate (2006). Sc. 30; S.G. 100. 
1864 (6 Apr.) envelope from Otahuhu "via Marseilles" to London, bearing 2d. pale blue (Pale I, worn), both with clear to large margins nearly all round, and 6d.
red-brown with clear to large margins, each cancelled with oval-framed 
1865 (18 May) 1oz.-2oz. rate envelope (222x101mm) from Dunedin "VIA MARSEILLES" to Edinburgh, bearing 1/- green horizontal strip of three with good to large margins
all round and in combination with 1864-67 perf. 12½ 2d. pale blue (Plate I, worn) horizontal pair (one defective) cancelled with several strikes of the 
1869 (15 Dec.) envelope (218x92mm) from Picton to London, bearing 1/- green with clear to very large margins nearly all round, neatly cancelled 
The balance of the issue, comprising 1d. carmine-vermilion (5, two with re-entries and one (repaired) cancelled "A.O.4"), 2d. pale blue (7, four with Maori War
cancellations and one "deckle" edge at left with marginal line watermark), 6d. red-brown (4, one with watermark reversed and one with watermark inverted) and 1/- green (7 one with pre-printing crease, one with Row 1/5 re-entry and one cancelled with
boxed 
1d. carmine-vermilion showing roulettes at right and partially at foot, regular imperforate margins on the other two sides, unused without gum, good strong
