single, intense prooflike color on crisp laid paper, previously lightened
pen cancel, choice centering for this, design well clear on all sides,
trivial shallow thin, very fine appearance; an attractive example of this
rare and difficult issue; 2000 BPA certificate (Unitrade C$6,000.00).
#33, 1868 3c Bright red on laid paper, unused
example with fresh bright color on very discernible laid paper, centering a
bit to left, trivial perf. flaws and minor paper wrinkle bottom right,
still fine; a very attractive example of one of Canada's rarest and most
difficult stamps; clear 1957 PF certificate (Unitrade C$10,500.00).
#36, 1872 2c Green, a superb mint example that is
not only incredibly fresh but perfectly centered as well, lovely bright
color, wide balanced margins all around, pristine o.g., never hinged,
extremely fine; a relatively common stamp in not-so-common condition

oval "Barnard's / Cariboo / Express" h.s. on "Wells, Fargo & Co. / Paid" 3c
U.S. stationery envelope to New Westminster, British Columbia showing oval
