23a |
#23a, 1881 5c Quetzal, Center Inverted, a
handsome appearing example of this very rare stamp of which only about
20 examples are thought to exist, much better centering than normally
encountered as the vast majority are centered strongly to one side, rich
fresh color, light target cancel, miniscule perf. imperfections, otherwise
choice very fine; our research of past sales of other examples of this
invert show this copy to be the finest centered example we could
find, our research also showed that the vast majority of examples have
faults to some degree, making this one of the finest examples available. (Image) |
