#U466B, 2c on 2c Carmine on amber, type 4
surcharge, size 10, knife 58, wmk. 19, mint entire, quite clean, a very
fine and choice example of this extraordinarily rare entire, being one
of the rarest mint entires of the 20th century, as only five are thought to
exist, and we are not aware of any cut squares, either existing or
having been sold in years, only one other #U466B entire has been offered by
us, being the Dr. Jerry Summers example which we had the pleasure of
selling as part of his impressive collection in our June 2000 sale, we also
offered this example in our March 2002 Premier Sale, these two are the only
examples to appear on the auction market in years, so it is with pleasure
that we are able to offer it again to give serious postal stationery
collectors the important opportunity to add this great rarity to their
collection, because there is no guarantee that this, or one of the other
four known, will make an appearance on the auction market for years to
come; 2002 PF certificate.(Image)
