imprint and plate "No. 548" strip of six, exceptionally fresh with bright
color, each stamp with large margins and rather well centered for a
multiple, full clean o.g., two center stamps n.h., others lightly hinged, a
very fine and choice Bank Note plate number strip; 1999 PF certificate;
cataloged as six singles.
#211, 4c Blue green, an incredibly fresh and
choice mint example, well centered, deep luxuriant color and a razor-sharp
impression on crisp paper, pristine o.g., never hinged, extremely fine
overall considering all of this stamp's outstanding qualities; 1991 and
2005 PF certificate.
#211Bc, 2c Pale red brown special printing,
horizontal pair, imperforate between, exceptionally well centered, rich
fresh color, o.g., lightly hinged, tiny trace of a picked-out inclusion on
left stamp, otherwise choice very fine; a rare classic error; clear 1979 PF
certificate.
#214, 3c Vermilion, "post office" fresh, deep
vibrant color, excellent centering, pristine o.g., never hinged, extremely
fine; 2000 PF certificate.
#218, 90c Purple, exceptionally well centered,
rich fresh color, o.g., lightly hinged, extremely fine; 2004 PF and PSE
certificates.
#218, 90c Purple, well centered within
uncharacteristically large margins, rich color, o.g., lightly hinged, very

#218, 90c Purple, used block of four, rich color,
oval registry cancels and small portions of red cancels on the left stamps,
bottom left stamp with faint crease, otherwise fine-very fine; a scarce
used block.
#219c-229a, 1c-90c Small Bank Notes, imperforate,
a beautiful set of mint blocks of four, all with large margins all around
and brilliant color, full o.g., lightly hinged (some stamps are never
hinged), extremely fine; a rare set of blocks, and to try to assemble a
finer set would be an immense challenge; 15c and 90c accompanied by 1993 PF
certificates.
#220a, 2c Carmine, cap on left "2" variety,
pristine mint example of this popular variety, radiant color and a deeply
etched impression on immaculate paper, wonderfully well centered with
uncharacteristically large margins all around, unblemished o.g., n.h.,
extremely fine: a surprisingly difficult stamp in this gem condition; 1999
PF certificate.
#221, 3c Purple, essentially perfect centering,
huge balanced margins all around, plus crisp even perforations, luxuriously
rich color and impression on immaculate paper, pristine o.g., n.h.,
extremely fine in every respect; an impressive large-margined gem; 1997 PF
certificate
#223, 5c Chocolate, incredibly well centered amid
lavishly large margins, lovely rich color and impression on crisp paper,
o.g., faint trace of hinging, extremely fine; 1994 PF certificate for a top
sheet-margin single whose selvage has been subsequently removed
(specifically stating that the stamp is never hinged).
#224, 6c Brown red, well centered within large
margins, sumptuously rich color and a sharp detailed impression,
unblemished o.g., n.h., choice very fine; 1989 PF and 2005 PSE (VF-XF85)
certificates.

single, well centered within extraordinarily large margins, strong rich

choice mint example of this difficult value, being in a "post office" fresh
state, deep luxuriant color and a prooflike impression on clean white
paper, particularly well centered amid extravagantly wide margins, pristine
o.g., n.h., choice very fine; 1997 PF certificate.
#228, 30c Black, quite well centered,
particularly intense rich color and a prooflike impression, o.g., lightly
hinged, extremely fine; 1979 PF certificate.
#228, 30c Black, top margin imprint and plate
"No. 24" strip of five, o.g., right three stamps n.h., left stamp with tear
at bottom, faint ink mark at top left of selvage, fine appearance and a
scarce imprint strip.
#229, 90c Orange, well centered within uncommonly
large margins, brilliantly rich color and a crisp impression, accompanied
by two certificates, the 1993 PF stating "previously hinged with slightly
disturbed o.g." and a 2004 PSE stating "previously hinged, reperforated at
left", extremely fine appearance.
#230, 1c Columbian, pristine top sheet-margin
partial imprint single, exceptional centering within large margins,
extraordinarily fresh and crisp, deep color and razor-sharp impression,
immaculate o.g., never hinged, extremely fine.
#230, 1c Columbian, remarkably choice full top
margin imprint and plate "No. 195" strip of three, incredibly fresh, with
especially deep luxuriant color and impression, wonderfully well centered,
