Federal Republic substantial mint collection including the Allied
and American-British Zone issues from 1945, the latter are numerically
associated with the Federal Republic in Michel, hundreds of different in
Lighthouse hingeless album, virtually complete to 1986 and including some

the first red and black "Berlin" overprints in 1948 to 1990 when the Berlin
issues were discontinued because of reunification, the early better sets
are all complete including the Currency Devaluation souvenir sheet, a few

panes complete (Michel H-Bl #5-10), a fresh and clean collection
throughout, o.g., collected mostly hinged with a few exceptions to 1958 and

Michel #41, 1945 12pf Dark red, exceptionally
choice top right corner-margin example of this controversial issue, large
margins on the other two sides as well, radiant color on bright white
paper, flawless o.g., n.h., extremely fine; public opposition arose on the
day of issue because of the Russian inscription and it was immediately
withdrawn from sale; only 14,500 stamps were sold and over a million were
officially destroyed; an especially scarce stamp in this exceptional
premium condition; signed Dr. Oertel and accompanied by 1997 APS
