strong rich colors, well centered within large margins, very fine; 2000 PSE
certificate.
#133a, 1c Brown orange re-issue, without gum as
issued, uncommonly well centered within much larger margins than typically
found, rich color and a strong impression, extremely fine; 1987 and 2004 PF
certificates.
#135, 2c Red brown with grill, deep rich color
and a highly detailed impression, o.g., easily identifiable grill, nearly
very fine for this scarce mint stamp; 2004 PF certificate.
#135 var., 2c Red brown with split grill,
exceptionally well centered within extraordinarily large margins, strong
fresh color, neatly and centrally struck circle of wedges cancel, the grill
variety shows very well, extremely fine; a very pretty stamp; 1998 PF
certificate.
#137, 6c Carmine with grill, especially well
centered within large margins, strong rich color, interesting fancy cork
cancel, certificate notes a strengthened perf. at right which is quite
trivial, otherwise extremely fine; 1987 PF certificate.
#141, 15c Orange with grill, fresh used example
of this scarce grilled value, unusually well centered amid large margins,
strong vivid color and sharp impression, light centrally struck black
target cancel, easily evident grill that shows well from both the front and
the back, extremely fine; 1990 PF certificate.
#141 var., 15c Orange with "I" grill, an
exceptionally rare grill variety on this higher value, this distinctive
grill type is slightly smaller in size than the usual "H" grill found on
almost all grilled National Bank Notes, exceptionally strong color,
cancelled with a portion of duplex, fine; until very recently it was
thought that only the lower values of the Bank Note series were found with
this elusive grill, as awareness of the different grill types came about, a
few examples of the "I" grill have surfaced on the 10c, 15c and 90c values,
however all of these are major rarities and our records show that there are
less than 10 examples recorded of the 15c "I" grill; 2006 PF certificate
specifically identifying this as an "I" grill.
#142, 24c Purple with grill, an exceptionally
handsome appearing used example of this rare Bank Note, extraordinarily
well centered within large margins, stronger color than typically
encountered, easily seen grill, light NYFM cancel, small closed tear at the
bottom, extremely fine appearance; 1998 PF certificate.
#142, 24c Purple with grill, used example of this
rare Bank Note grill, well centered though reperforated at right, typical
light color that is a bit faded and two small edge tears at bottom, the
grill is particularly strong and full, a feature rarely found on this
value, fine appearance; 1977 and 2006 PF certificates.
#144, 90c Carmine with grill, a very well
centered used example, large balanced margins, rich color, small
perforation flaws including tiny perforation creases at top, very fine, a
scarce grilled high value Bank Note; 2006 PF certificate.

single, quite well centered, deep luxuriant color, full o.g., lightly
hinged, very fine; a surprisingly scarce mint stamp, especially still
retaining its original gum; 2005 PF certificate.
#151, 12c Dull violet, handsome mint example of
this seldom offered Bank Note, well centered within large margins, strong
fresh color and detailed impression, full o.g., very fine and choice; an
especially difficult stamp to find both with its original gum and in this
premium condition; 1992 PSE and 2004 PF certificates.
#152, 15c Bright orange, quite well centered
within large margins, rich vibrant color in a deep shade, full o.g., very
fine; a handsome example of this elusive Bank Note, being one of the most
challenging to fine in premium original gum condition; 1987 PF
certificate.
#152, 15c Bright orange, impressive used example,
featuring huge oversized margins and being exceptionally well centered
within them, absolutely radiant and intense color on bright paper, central
blue quartered cork cancel, extremely fine and quite striking; 1993 PF and
2005 PSE certificates.
#154, 30c Black, used, exceptionally well
centered within uncharacteristically large margins, plus its color is
particularly deep and rich, extremely fine; premium used examples of Scott

well centered, regummed, very fine; 2006 PSE certificate.
#158, 3c Green, exceptionally well centered
within large to huge margins, deep luxuriant color and impression, full
o.g., very lightly hinged, extremely fine.
#159, 6c Dull pink, an incredibly high quality
mint single of this terribly challenging Bank Note, featuring
extraordinarily large and perfectly balanced margins all around and being
beautifully centered, exceptionally fresh with much stronger color and
impression than usual, full o.g., very lightly hinged, an extremely fine
and exceedingly choice example of a stamp that is surprisingly difficult to
find in this outstanding well centered condition; 2003 PF certificate.
#160, 7c Vermilion, an extraordinarily choice
appearing mint example, flawlessly centered within large margins, although
reperforated at left, incredibly intense and vivid color, full clean o.g.,
lightly hinged, extremely fine appearance; a desirable stamp despite the
reperforation; 1999 PF certificate.
#161, 10c Brown, quite well centered within large
margins, deep prooflike color and impression, o.g., lightly hinged, tiny
surface scrapes at bottom, very fine appearance; clear 1992 PF certificate
for a block of four, this being the top right stamp, and a 2006 PF
