200 Ou 128 image#128, 12c Green re-issue, a fabulous quality example of this very rare used re-issue, being in a condition that is virtually unheard of on any of the known used 1869 Pictorial Re-issues, magnificently centered amid lavishly large margins, eye-arresting color in an incredibly deep shade, plus its impression is deeply etched on bright paper, superbly postmarked with a light magenta cancel at bottom, leaving the central vignette cancel free, a superb stamp for the finest used collection; Jon Rose, in his exceptional United States Postage Stamps of 1869 handbook, estimates that only 15-25 used Twelve Cent Re-issues exist and, in our opinion, there exists no finer than the copy offered here; 1991 and 2002 PF certificates as well as a 2005 PSE certificate (XF 90; SMQ $6,450.00); this is the highest grade the PSE has awarded a used #128, being one of only two to acheive this grade; ex-Morris, Hinrichs.
