U465
#U465, 2c on 1c Green on white, die 1, type 3 surcharge, UPSS die 127(A), size 10, knife 59, wmk. 20, unusual used entire, posted locally as printed matter in the proper
period in Philadelphia with "Philadelphia, Pa./1923" machine cancel without month and day date, however processed through the canceling machine upside down so the postmark is at bottom left leaving the imprint uncancelled, small edge tear at top well
away from the imprint, otherwise very fine; this would yield a nice extra large mint cut square which has a catalog value of $1,750.00, but this is an extremely rare used entire and we know of no other used items, which are not listed thus as cut
squares or entires by either Scott or UPSS (UPSS #2925).(Image)
