Comprehensive collection of 1000s of stamps all different, mint and used, housed in 4 thick Schaubek albums, for the most part chronologically ordered from classics to modern from Albania through to Romania and Hungary. Bulgaria for example starts with lion issues onwards, including a few better modern m/s such as the Balkantourist Bulgaria in limited edition folder never hinged, Albania with the scarce rocket perf and imperf 1957, as well as the malaria again both perf and imperf mint never hinged all with low printing numbers. Jugoslavia with key stamp, the scarce Esperanto 300dn mint and other better series inc defins and airmails of that period, as well as m/s, with some waiting to be incorporated into the main body of the collection, stuffed on to the sides. Poland has a volume to itself again with 100s of stamps including better miniature sheets. Similarly with Romania again with scarce miniature sheets, mint and used well worth investigating, especially the 1950s/ early 1960s some of which have a very high catalog in Michel – please note that although all the m/s are one of a kind, for some reason towards the late 1960s/70s they need a little presentation for the perf and imperf which are occasionally out of order - nevertheless dozens of better items here mint never hinged. Finally, Hungary with a similar pattern inc good 1959 Haydn m/s imperf as well as se-tenants etc, etc. Completely uncatalogued but the 4 Schaubeks will add up quickly, please inspect page for page.
A hoard of 1980s/2000s new issues, all housed in their original envelopes, some even unopened. Virtually every envelope still has the bills inside! From the random envelopes we have chosen to inspect, everything is in complete series covering a wide range of topics . There are many hundreds of envelopes and we estimate the weight of this lot must approach 100lbs or more! It should be taken into consideration however that there is the promotional and packing material accompanying the new issues, as well as presentation sheets with the stamps tied by first day cancel, roughly 50-50 in value mint and used. According to the vendor, the estimated purchase price over the many years was about the equivalent of $23,000. Looking at the sheer quantity of the correspondence here from suppliers Deutsche Post, Austria Post, Swiss PTT, Luxembourg Post Office, British Post Office, etc this seems reasonable, although this lot does involve a little work to present to best advantage. A thoroughly recommended lot for dealers looking to replenish new issue stock in these areas inexpensively, from the 1980s to the 2000s

How Oscar would have wished he had sold this in 2007! On the other hand he would be very pleased to buy this in 2011.
