2c Carmine, Ty. I (319). Tied by "Coalgate Ind. T. Nov. 1, 1906" circular datestamp on cover to Kinsman O. with all-over illustration for Macurdy's Studio of Coalgate with samples of his work
surrounding the address, reverse with illustrated advertisement for Hawkeye Kodaks, accompanied by 1907 letter from Macurdy mentioning Oklahoma statehood, railroad corruption, etc., stamp with corner crease, some wear, Fine, James Macurdy is
best known for his early images of Oil City Pa., one of these pictures can be seen at the lower right of the cover (Image)

imprint, Extremely Fine, large envelopes specifically made for these size photos were readily available and so mailing it this way was risky and rather pointless, at least 2 other examples are known from other cities but the nearly immaculate
condition of this card is something of a postal miracle (Image)

Ferrotype Co., Very Fine, the Mandel camera was marketed for street and itinerant photographers and produced photo postcards and photo buttons, lot includes two snapshots (Image)

reveal the cover contained a key and a daguerreian locket,"which you will now find enclosed & I hope reach you in safety", Very Fine cover and letter paying four times the 3c rate due to its weight, documented covers that carried
