#319g, 2c Carmine, Ty. I, booklet pane of six,
being not only the rare position B (showing guide arrow in the top right
sheet selvage tab), but this pane displays the very rare "ball marker" as
well, position B is a highly desirable and collectable position (#5)
which occurs only once on the 180-subject plate, but to also find one with
the distinctive "ball marker" makes this pane one of the most important
position pieces known of all 1902-03 booklet panes, intense color, well
centered, o.g., l.h., very fine; it is believed that the ball shaped
marking, known on less than 2 tenths of a percent (.002) of sheet plate
proofs, represents indentations from a Brinnell hardness measuring;
