Then Prince Edward Island categorised by perfs and papers, inc. 1861 first issues with the #1 2d rose perf 9 unused, 3d blue mint and 6d green unused (repaired yet presentable appearance of this very scarce stamp), through to 1863/68 with a range including the 6d green mint, 1872s with the 'stop between Prince and Edward' variety on the 3cts rose used, signed (light corner crease mentioned for accuracy's sake only), followed by New Brunswick with two imperfs inc. sound used 3d bright red three margins, just touching on fourth margin, accompanied by certificate, as well as the 6d olive yellow an acceptable example with clear or just touching on three margins slightly in on the fourth, with red 'paid' cancel. Then the 1860/63 series of New Brunswick is complete mint including plenty of distinct shades, plus a scarce specimen copy of the unissued Connell 5cts brown. Then Nova Scotia with three imperfs inc. the #1 1d red brown lightly canceled with margins almost all round, 3d blue also lightly cancelled with four margins and an attractive 6d green with even margins just in at one corner. Definitely a collection with more than first meets the eye and will catalog a small fortune in Gibbons, especially when all the shades have been properly identified. Viewing highly recommended.

In-depth holding housed in two packed volumes, representing material put together over the decades as stripped down from the purchase of many collections, bought both privately and in auction. There are many hundreds, probably thousands of stamps, with mint and used presented parallel, with pleasant duplication throughout, although there is nothing excessive. Among the highlights are lots of first issues of every denomination to 10pi, including perfs and imperfs, with particularly good-looking examples of the 2pi yellow and the 5pi rose (#4/5), as well as the proofs of the first series complete. Then extensive sphinxes inc. 1867 2pi blue x2 unused (#14), excellent postmark interest on the 1870s, 1874/75 20pa gray blue mint and 5pi green top value mint, 1879 5pa brown watermark inverted used x2 (not an identified variety at the time this holding was formed and still not listed in Scott), 10pa lilac mint (#31), 1884 20pa surcharge inverted used (#42a, short corner perf mentioned for accuracy's sake only), 1888s complete mint never hinged and many superb cds used, these too should also be investigated for inverted watermarks, time permitting. Then 19th century postage dues and first official issues, followed by Kedive Abbas Himli and British Protectorate issues of the early 20th century, with similarly comprehensive back of the book inc. 1924/26 officials complete mint and used, 1932 , surcharges on King Fouad £1 mint x2 and used x2 (#167, total cat. $650), with this first book ending up with the zeppelin surcharges. The second volume is loaded with airmails and other back of the book, with the majority again in complete mint series, as well as better regular series such as the 1952 'King of Egypt and the Sudan' overprints to £1 complete mint never hinged (#299/316) and lots of better souvenir sheets, etc. There will be many sleepers to discover and much more than described in this original old-time holding, offered intact as received.
