Extensive and nearly complete collection in a Scott album, 1860/81 issues complete (per Scott listing) mostly unused and usual very mixed condition, also 1884 4d Yellow, 1883/98 Victoria with some die varieties, Edward VII, George V and George VI definitive sets, comprehensive QE II period incl S/S with most NH after 1960, mostly F-VF.
A specialist&rsquo,s accumulation of work-in-progress material, with several hundred mint and used stamps, predominantly of the ,19th ,and early ,20th ,century, with some highly unusual items present. Regular issues include o/ps on Pyramid and Sphinx issues with the 10p mauve mint and used, 1898 camel postman inc. 10p black and mauve mint, excellent postmark interest here, then officials with perfin 'SG' 10p x2 used through to 1936/46 10p mint, etc. followed by attractive non Scott listed material inc. 'camel train' Military Telegraph stamps in large mint multiples to 25 piastres se-tenant showing marginal inscriptions, scarce cinderella 2m black and brown of a large version of the 1901 gunboat design, as well as a fascinating range of post office training material inc. large mint multiples of the &lsquo,school&rsquo, o/ps, even a fantastic 3 1/2m registered letter stationery envelope with 'P. &, T. Training School &ndash, Omdurman' handstamp in purple and additional 10m stamp with training o/p, etc. This is a nice holding with enormous potential with much more here than first meets the eyes. This viewing deserves to be viewed thoroughly for a full appreciation of what is here.
27 1920/29 covers with poor to excellent strikes of the cachet in red and blue/violet and various shades in-between, many with original enclosures, several different sailings with unfranked (14, some with due markings), unfranked with GB (9) or US (1) postage dues added or franked with GB George V definitives (3), usual mixed condition, VG-VF, premium lot of these elusive and desirable cachet (SG £11,475)
