While a good collection this has come out of storage after many years and there is occasionally light toning on some of the stamps, generally insignificant but mentioned for accuracy's sake only. A good collection, dealers make sure this is on your list of lots to view.
Housed in 2 lighthouse albums, as new, here are two collections mint and used, of these popular territories. The best part is the French Oceania with supplemental pages inc non-Scott listed items well worth investigating in the specialised catalogs, if they can be found at all. For example, there are two composite sheets of French Polynesia 'Atelier de Fabrication de Timbres-poste' with 10fr and 20fr Tahitian girl multicoloured, followed by another m/s with Tahitian dancers and fisherman. Also seen imperforates of 1944 airmail, as well as imperforate mint pairs of 1955 #C23 and all other basic airmails present from #C1 with France Libre o/ps, the 1948 200fr #C#17 to #C19,  ,the Gauguin #C21 as well as series to #C24 to #C27, the 1958 key series with the same series again in imperforate mint never hinged imperforate pair. Also the satellite telstar #C29 imperf mint never hinged pair. Then follows the basic stamp collection itself which is sparse by comparison, nevertheless plenty of colorful series through to 2000 with dozens of mint series here inc se-tenants, triptychs, m/s , booklets, back of the book etc. The FSAT collectiom also housed in a lighthouse album with some better series seen in the airmails, se-tenants again with dozens of different commems all one of a kind, with more strength in the 1970s through to 2000 through to eurozone, accompanied by perhaps the most interesting part, a range of postal history including 'O.G.M , Le Chef des Operations TAFF' for various scientific expedition, paquebot, etc and other back of the book. 2 handsome collections, well worth viewing.
A quality and valuable used collection of hundreds in a specialised Safe hingeless album, with hardly any empty spaces from the ,19th ,century onwards, including many scarce items in far better condition than normally encountered. Highlights in the ,19th century include 1872 small shield eagles with 1/4gr violet (#1) and 5gr bister (#6), as well as very attractive superb examples of the 2kr orange in different shades including two red orange issues (#8a). Then the 1872 numerals both with manuscript cancels (#12/13), followed by large shield eagles including the very scarce 18kr bister with light crease in extreme corner mentioned for accuracy's sake only (#26, cat. $1750), plus the surcharges with the elusive 9kr on 9kr brown (#28) which we note has a catalog &euro,600 in Michel, etc. The ,20th century continues strongly, starting off with the Reichspost Germanias complete to 5mk, 1905 Baden officials inc. 2pf and 25pf (#OL16, OL21), comprehensive inflations with the majority if not all appearing contemporaneously used and good Weimar Republic, 1928 and 1929 Nothilfe semi-postals complete (#B23/B32), etc, leading on to the Third Reich with virtually everything present inc. Wagner complete (#B49/B57) and the souvenir sheets inc. Ostropa (#B68, brittle left hand corner broken) and a magnificent example of the rare 1933 Nothilfe souvenir sheet (Scott #B58, Michel Block 2, cat. &euro,13,000) genuine postally used, seldom seen as such, showing cancels of Berlin ,7th December 1933 and towards the corner the arrival postmark of Eisenberg ,Thü,ringen on ,8th December 1933 &ndash, although there is some slight yellowing in the upper left hand corner this does not detract at all from the outstanding overall quality &ndash, this is one of the best we have ever had the pleasure to offer, especially with origin and arrival postmarks on the sheet. Other better items through the collection include zeppelins with Chicago flight superb used complete (#C43/C45), etc. A phenomenal collector's collection, clearly put together with an eye for quality. Please study carefully page for page, preferably with a Michel as there is much more here to appreciate &ndash, a most enjoyable collection to view. (Image)
An extraordinary collection written up and displayed methodically on album pages, representing many aspects of military and cultural life to the 1920s including many colored p/cs. Approximately 450 items, housed in 6 volumes with much scarce material. It is very diverse with virtually everything potentially making an individual lot in its own right with many items worth $50 to $100 each, such as the anti-British/John Bull, zeppelins, WWI humor, patriotism, Russian anti-German/Kaiser propaganda, anti-Turkish propaganda, prisoner of war, various national alliances to name but a few of the many themes here. An outstanding collection that took a lifetime to form. A joy to view and describe and a thoroughly recommended viewing. The hours seem like minutes when you view this magnificent , collection.
A mint collection in a quality overall far better than normally encountered, with many hundreds of stamps housed in a Safe hingeless album with hardly any empty spaces. Highlights in the ,19th century include the large shield eagles complete inc. , 2 1/2gr orange brown with original gum (#19, cat. $1800, small faults), the 2kr orange with some minute cracking of the embossing otherwise sound mint (#22), 9kr red brown (#25) with Josef Hennies certificate, etc, then the 1872 numeral issues and 1874 eagle surcharges complete mint (#12/13, #27/28) followed by 'pfennige' issues of 1875/77 inc. 20pf ultra, 25pf red brown and 50pf olive gray (#29/33, #35, total cat. $2550+) all with gum and generally sound. The 'pfennig' issues are complete with two 50pf examples both never hinged and one signed Ebel, in fact all the pfennigs are never hinged except the 10pf rose which however is signed by Zenker, we leave it to the viewer to ascertain why. Then 1889/1900 Reichspost issues (#46/50) signed Zenker, leading on to the Reichspost Germanias complete (#52/65, the 5 mark with thin not showing through) and the second series missing the 80pf, though with the 5 mark mint never hinged, etc. The 1920s continue replete with much never hinged including better varieties such as the 20m plowing with the green background inverted n/h (#155a, Mi#176 I, cat. &euro,900, signed), through to 1928/32 Hindenburgs and 1930/32 castles complete mint, the IPOSTA miniature sheet, almost all the airposts inc. regular zepps complete, Chicago 2m and 4m and Polar flights complete with the 2 mark blue never hinged (&euro,1300 in Michel), Wagners with key values 20pf and 40pf purple, 1933 Hindenburgs complete, rouletted Hitler souvenir sheets with the Nuremberg issue never hinged. Also non Scott listed material such as the railway service fee label of 1874 (Mi #I), etc, etc. There is much more here than described and the collection should be viewed page for page for a full appreciation. Even the classics reveal a discerning eye, this collector clearly wanted quality and it shows.
