When we first saw this lot, housed in 10 volumes, we were amazed as the potential would clearly run into tens of thousands, possibly hundreds of thousands of Euro! However on closer inspection, it becomes clear that it is very difficult to give this full value, as so much requires certificates. , Among the many 1000s of stamps here, mint and used, it is chaotically presented, not in chronological order. There are both ,19th ,century by 20th century, also a little foreign (inc. Cilicia, Spanish Civil War telegraphs, Port Gdansk, Alsace-Lorraine, early Bosnia etc). The only part that is basically clear and in chronological order is the Zusammendrucke/se-tenants which look rather good, with one volume devoted to this area. Some of these were bought on 'special offer' deals from mostly German magazines such as the DBZ, over many years. Many varieties are on cover with postal history from the early ,20th ,century onwards. Also noted interesting Third Reich cinderella and WWII Occupations with non-Scott listed back of the book material, bezirks, perfin studies, souvenir sheets inc. Strausberg, Hitler, etc, booklets. An extremely challenging and potentially highly rewarding holding, please inspect carefully turning page for page allowing plenty of time, preferably with a Michel.
Lighthouse hingeless album with West Germany complete, mint never hinged. The posthorns are signed Schlegel and are all of course faultless, similarly pristine condition on the Marienkirche, all of the helpers of mankind and every other series, through to the 1960s. Perfection.
A very comprehensive collection of West Germany including all the good sets post-WWII late 1940s and early 1950s, with the Posthorn set perfect mint never hinged, similarly with the Heuss set mint never hinged including the 50pf gray, the Lubeck, NBA, you name it it&rsquo,s all here &ndash, perfection at your fingertips, from a collector who consistently has an eye for quality.
,Mint and used collection of thousands of stamps in 4 volumes, starting with an album with the Empire eagles with a range of large and small shields in condition better than normally encountered. In the same album are Germanias to 5 mark, leading the inflation with lots of varieties outside the printed spaces, 1924 Nothilfe series mint and the good semis and airs, in , ,Zeppelin through to good Third Reich souvenir sheets inc. four different Hitler birthday types all used , as well as 1936 Olympic Games, a very good etc. Then in another large volume the Allied Occupations with extensive SBZs highly specialised and categorised by Michel, as well as good non-Scott listed Bezirks, Glauchau Hitler obliterators, Meissen 'Deutschlands Verderber' o/ps, etc. In the ,4th book, Berlin starting with a range of black and red o/ps mint and used, then the buildings series with further Michel listed varieties identified, 1949 Goethe key value 10pf green x4 used, bells, Beethoven used, Philharmonic mint never hinged, etc, etc. Some pleasant duplication, nowhere excessive. Also a ,4th good volume with extensive Bohemia and Moravia present, again better researched with a Michel with much scope here as well. There will be sleepers in every book, particularly in the non Scott listed material, please inspect carefully.
This is mint never hinged complete house in a Safe album, with the exception of the posthorns which are once hinged. There are no empty spaces and this is perfection at your fingertips, without any faults.
