Several hundred stamps mint and used, from German States onwards with condition far better normally encountered, Baden with first issues 1851 to 1868, #1 to #6, arms to 30kr, etc. Bavaria from 1849 onwards inc second series to 12kr and third series 'the arms' to 18kr mint and used, etc. The Brunswick, Prussia with 1850 to 1867 10 different imperfs with different backgrounds, Wurttemberg, NGF, leading on to German Empire from the small shields onwards, both pfennige and pfennig inc shades and virtually completion from early ,20th ,century through to Weimar Republic 1926/27. Then Zeppelin 4rm, Third Reich with many series to 40pf purple all the way through to 1945 with the last series. Then Anglo-American Zone with castles to 5dm and West Germany and Berlin fairly comprehensive the latter with 1m black o/p and the green o/ps complete, etc. Also present Saar from first issues 1920s onwards, useful SBZ (requiring a Michel), some DDR through to Colonies and offices aboard inc China with 1 1/2 ,dollar on 3mk, Morocco Agencies with 6pf 25cts on 5m, various Kaiser's Yachts, also comprehensive Bohemia and Moravia, Eastern Command, Occupation issues, Allenstein complete, Schleswig first series complete, Upper Silesia, Danzig inc commems to the 1950s and a reasonable showing of Memel with several dozen stamps, again all one of a kind. One man's collection, no remainders and completely uncatalogued.
Virtually complete mint, this represents a comprehensive collection, well filled, housed in two albums, the allied occupation and West Germany in a lighthouse, the DDR in a Schaubek. The former starts with the currency m/s perf and imperf, the missing 'pf' definitives 1948 on Baden, red cross m/s, various commems and a similar pattern with Rheinland Pfalz with red cross m/s and the same for the Wurttemberg Red Cross , please note that occasional toning has been noticed on some of these. Also seen a comprehensive collection of the small blue 2pf Notopfer Steuermarke with better wmks such as Michel #ZB, as well as imperfs #WT1, the so-called 'abklatsch' and the best of all the 2pf yellow #3B, a pair and most certainly scarce. This is followed by posthorn o/ps of 1948, the castles series of 1948 perf 11 complete to 5dm, as well as perf 14 complete through to the m/s of 1949 mnh Exportmesse Hannover 1949, followed by 'stamp on stamp', the Wohlfahrtspflege and all the other helper of mankind series, Lubecks, all mnh, through to 1954 Heuss complete onwards. DDR comprehensive inc Debria and Mao, but occasional toning noticed, mentioned for accuracy’s sake only. Overall a comprehensive collection with few empty spaces and the vast majority in tip-top condition.
Very attractive mint collection of hundreds of stamps in KaBe hingeless album, a perfectionist's collection with only never hinged material present, covering German Empire and Bavaria from about 1916 to the early 1920s inflation period, as well as the General-Gouvernement and other WWII occupations inc. Luxembourg, Latvia, etc. This is an opportunity for this seeking only the best condition in a comprehensive collection for the period, with virtually everything as fresh as the day it was bought from the post office! Please inspect.
More than two dozen interesting items of postal history from the 19th and early 20th century, on quadrille leaves in an album, starting with the states with Bavaria inc. 3pf brown stationery envelope with Goldkorn colored illustrated advertising and a 5pf green stationery card with special color illustration for the 1906 Nuremberg Exhibition, then Brunswick running horse 1sg orange unused stationery envelope in excellent condition, through to locals inc. superb Berlin 3pf bear on advertising cover and Frankfurt 3pf orange tied to very attractive cover, WWI occupation of Belgium covers inc. advertising, SBZ material inc. Storkow with 4pf, 6pf and 12pf storks in combination with surcharges on Berlin issues, as well as a an unusual combination of Berlin, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, East Saxony numerals and Thuringen issues together on cover. Then Germany starting with beautiful illustrated Germania stationery used, a range of Third Reich advertising including cinderella labels, Berlin bells FDC, officials, airposts inc. helicopter post of 1951, etc, etc. Many of these covers are difficult to price as they have been selected for being unusual, as well as being for the most part in exceptional quality, please inspect ,slowly page for page.
Hundreds of stamps, mint and used, as far as we can see all one of a kind, with a very diverse range of overprint varieties of the 1920 official overprints C.G.H.S. from the 5pf green to the 5mark ocher, varieties include overprints vertical downwards, vertical upwards, inv o/ps, double o/ps, double o/ps with one inv, double vertical o/ps, horizontal and inverted o/ps, diagonal o/ps, etc. It is all organised from the 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 1m 1.25m, 2m and 5m – all one of a kind – each in their own categories of errors up to the 5m. Normally when collections like this are seen, there are a dozen stamps or so. Here there are 100s of stamps neatly organised and most unusual as such. This clearly was a task by a collector forming a collection several decades ago, probably in the 1920s. An important collection and a most enjoyable viewing, the likes of which are hardly ever seen today in such depth.
Mint and used collection housed in an album on lighthouse leaves with good quality throughout. Beginning with French Zone Baden used accompanied by 1949 miniature sheets, never hinged perf and imperf. Also Rheinland-Pfalz mint and used including 'without Pf' defins, then Wurttemberg with better defins etc. However best part in the collection is the Saar which is virtually complete post WW2, starting with the mint collection first, nearly all never hinged, including surcharged defins to be identified, airpost complete, various semi-postals accompanied by both key 'flood' miniature sheets 1948 again both never hinged with the latter signed (Nay BPP and Hoffmann BPP), as well as postage dues, all the good stamp days, Volkshilfe etc, no empty spaces. The used is virtually complete save the 'flood' series and a few of the semi-postals Heuss high values, and as far as we can see all the cancelations are contemporaneous and correct. , A wonderful collection for this period, needing not that much for completion in excellent quality, mint and used.
Perfectionist's collection of Berlin, comprehensive superb used, housed in a Safe hingeless album with no empty spaces. Includes the black o/ps complete signed Dr. Dub, red o/ps complete, Goethe, 1949 currency sheet very scarce in genuine postally used condition, bells to left, right and center complete, buildings with the 70pf olive and virtually everything else, continuing through to the 1980s. For every 5 mint collections we see of Berlin complete, we only see 1 used. This is an excellent opportunity to buy a collector's collection who had a consistent eye for good quality.
Complete mint never hinged collection, including the currency sheet, with virtually all the better items signed by the experts. Both the black overprints and red overprints are all signed Lippschutz, some early better commems are signed Zierer, the architecture high values signed either Zierer or Eliades, the green surcharges signed Schlegel, Goethe signed Buhler, the polar bear singles signed Schlegel, the polar bear sheet again by Eliades and so forth. A collection for the perfectionist.
A quality used collection, highly complete, housed in a Lighthouse hingeless album. Highlights are the black o/ps with the including the 5mk among others signed Schlegel, the latter being a sheet marginal copy with inscription. Then the red o/ps complete also with Schlegel signatures on the top values, followed by Goethe complete, polar bear miniature sheet, bells to left, right and center all complete and virtually everything else too, through to the 1970s. This delightful collection needs very little to complete.

The first Berlin o/ps in black are complete n/h, all signed Lippschutz, then the red o/ps also complete and variously signed Becker, Lippschutz, Schlegel , etc. with the 1mk Lippschutz and Becker and the 2mk Schlegel, followed by Goethe complete, 1949 currency &lsquo,bear&rsquo, souvenir sheet also pristine mint never hinged, all the bells, the 70pf olive green hunting lodge key definitive, etc, leading on to 1960s Brandenburg Gate defins with se-tenant and tete-beche combination multiples, booklets, souvenir sheets, etc. Absolutely pristine condition throughout, ideal for the collector seeking perfection on complete Berlin.
All used collection, ,virtually complete, housed in a Lighthouse album, only missing the polar bear currency sheet for completion. Most of the black overprints have signatures, mainly Schlegel, including the 5 mark blue, as well as many of the red o/ps, again signed Schlegel including the 50pf, 1mk and 2mk. A glorious mint collection housed in a KaBe hingeless album with not only every space filled but also, as far as we can see, everything in pristine never hinged condition. Highlights include the re-building bear and oak series complete zig-zag roulettes (Mi#1B/7B), Mecklenburg-Vorpommern politicians (Mi#20/22), plowing/windmill series complete on both yellowish and white papers (Mi#29/40), etc. Then exceptionally strong East Saxony with a very good representation of the scarce first issue 12pf red in both cyrillic and roman alphabets (Mi#41) with a never hinged single as well as a pair of the normal 'oilcolor' printing , and strip of three of the seldom seen 'watercolor' printing, all never hinged and all signed by Richter (accompanied by Heinrich Koehler invoice from 1976 when purchased at auction for 1350DM at the time!), leading on to the Saxony shield issues with the scarce 15pf with &lsquo,falling&rsquo, watermark again mint never hinged and this time signed by Peters (Michel #80X). Thuringen follows with the small and large Christmas anti-fascist souvenir sheets both never hinged and signed, National Theatre sheets, 'Baut Auf' sheet, etc, leading on to West Saxony inc. 5, 6, 8 and 23pf set (Mi#120/123) with 'rising' watermark both imperf and perf, highly unusual and mentioned in Michel as private printings (accompanied by 1982 Dieter Hempel invoice). Then Leipzig textile show issues complete never hinged with both watermark types (Mi#124x/125x etc.), the 1946 Leipzig city series with good watermarks complete never hinged (#150X/155X), Leipzig Fair sheet never hinged (#Block 5x), etc. Also Bezirk 27 overprints complete never hinged for 'Leipzig 24', 'Sowjetische Besatzungs Zone' o/ps complete inc. good shade on the 60pf (#195b) mint never hinged, 1949 Goethe souvenir sheet never hinged mint on stamp only as issued (#Block 6) and much more. This is an immaculate collection with perfectionist&rsquo,s condition throughout, even on the scarce issues. This description is only an outline, a proper viewing is highly recommended with a specialised Michel.
An exceptional mint collection, housed in a Lighthouse hingeless album, not only with virtually everything in pristine never hinged condition but also with almost no empty spaces, even by Michel standards. Better Michel listed varieties abound, with highlights including the Mecklenburg - Vorpommern with many shade and paper varieties inc. scarce 12pf red on bright pink (n/h, signed Zierer), as well as an interesting 6pf purple on white paper with o/p '20.12.45' not even listed in Michel. Then noted the 'Russian' 12pf red of East Saxony (n/h, signed Bartel, Wittenberger) leading on to the numerals, shields, plowman issues with all the papers and watermarks, etc, followed by Thuringen inc. Christmas miniature sheet on white paper never hinged, national theater m/s on both white and brown papers, the bridges miniature sheet, etc. Then West Saxony with extensive numerals, Leipzig fair  ,both miniature sheets, etc, followed by a range of Bezirks, almost all signed by Herbst or Busse, Russian zone with Goethe sheet and the DDR complete never hinged to the 1950s inc. Bach, Debria sheet, Mao, Marx sheets, again all in pristine condition. This is really an extraordinary collection in exceptional quality with highly challenging material assembled in never hinged condition and painstakingly categorised. Highly recommended for a careful inspection. If ever a Soviet occupation collection was to benefit from a Michel, this is it!
Mint and used collection of 100s housed in an album. An interesting range of these much underrated issues including lots of miniature sheets. Interesting occupations inc. Falkensee 'falcon' issues not often seen, Cottbus with no empty spaces, Dessau, Eilenberg inc. souvenir cards with the horizontal o/ps and diagonal o/ps, Finsterwalde with both types of the 1.50mk imperf souvenir sheet, obliterated Hitler heads of Glauchau, Lobau etc, then Gorlitz, Grossraschen, Oldenburg red cross souvenir sheets, Plauen, Storkow highly complete inc. 'nie vergessen' 12pf + 38pf souvenir sheet, Strausberg with se-tenant strips perf and imperf, as well as four different s/s inc. large ostrich sheet, etc, etc. A very clean collection of these increasingly popular issues that have a long way to go. Virtually complete mint collection housed in a Safe hingeless album with hardly any empty spaces and the majority in never hinged condition. The East Germany 1949 onwards appears complete inc. Bach lightly hinged, Debria sheet n/h, Mao lightly hinged, Thalmann 80pf dark blue on yellowish and grayish papers both n/h, Marx sheets complete never hinged, etc. The SBZs are similarly comprehensive with good perf and watermark varieties, etc, inc. rouletted bears complete n/h, the small Christmas sheet never hinged, National Theatre sheets imperf and rouletted both n/h, the 1946 Leipzig fair sheets with both watermark types n/h, Berlin 'bezirk' o/ps, 'besatzungs zone' o/ps with 60pf shades n/h, etc, etc. Tip-top condition throughout, completely uncataloged, there are no doubt many more discoveries to be made on the Soviet Zones, especially when investigated with the help of a Michel &ndash, viewing highly recommended.
